FORD E Z FAQs

Q: WHAT YEARS DOES THE FORD EZ FIT?
A: The Ford EZ will fit years 1994-2003 (7.3 liter)

Q: DOES THE FORD EZ VOID THE FACTORY WARRANTY?
A: No. Under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty- Federal Trade commission Improvement Act of 1975, aftermarket equipment, which improves performance, does not void a vehicle's manufacturer original warranty. (Unless the warranty clearly states the addition of aftermarket equipment automatically voids your vehicle’s warranty, or if the aftermarket device is the direct cause of the failure.) The easiest way to check this is to look in your owner’s manual under, “what is not covered.” It is recommended you remove the module before any service work is performed. Leaving the product installed may affect dealer diagnostic analysis and scan tool functions.

Q: HOW DOES THE FORD EZ AFFECT FUEL MILEAGE?
A: With the module installed you can expect to see a 10% increase in fuel efficiency based on driving style.

Q: HOW DO I GET THE BEST FUEL MILEAGE?
A: Do not change driving habits from normal “good driving mileage” habits. Some find it hard to do with the extra power provided by the EZ.

Q: WILL THE FORD EZ DAMAGE MY TRANSMISSION?
A: No, however hard driving styles or abuse can cause damage to transmission at stock power levels, and the increase in power could accelerate this.

Q: WILL THE FORD EZ INCREASE EGT’S?
A: Normal driving you will not see an increase in EGT’s. You can expect to see some increase while under a load.

Q: WILL THE FORD EZ WORK ON AN AUTOMATIC AND A STANDARD TRANSMISSION?
A: The Ford EZ is compatible with the automatic or the standard transmission.

Q: IS THE FORD EZ MODULE “STACKABLE” WITH OTHER UPGRADES?
A: This module is an excellent module to “stack” with other upgrades. You can expect to see a 15 to 20 horsepower increase depending on what you stack with and its rating.

Q: WHAT DO THE JUMPER SETTINGS DO ON THE FORD EZ?
A: The jumpers control responsiveness. Levels 1-3 are relatively the same. Level 4 is slightly more aggressive. The various levels achieve their effect by controlling the increase of oil pressure through the ICP sensor.

Q: WHAT SHOULD BE DONE IF THE TRUCK THROWS A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT
AFTER THE MODULE IS INSTALLED?

A: Adjusting the jumpers to a lower setting will decrease the pressure from the ICP sensor, which is the cause of the check engine light being triggered. Level 2 is the best setting for avoiding a check engine light.
