DODGE E Z (1998 1/2 - 2002) FAQs

Q: DOES THE EZ VOID THE FACTORY WARRANTY?
A: No. Under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty- Federal Trade commission Improvement Act of 1975, aftermarket equipment, which improves performance, does not void a vehicle's manufacturer original warranty. (Unless the warranty clearly states the addition of aftermarket equipment automatically voids your vehicle’s warranty, or if the aftermarket device is the direct cause of the failure.) The easiest way to check this is to look in your owner’s manual under, “what is not covered.” It is recommended you remove the module before any service work is performed. Leaving the product installed may affect dealer diagnostic analysis and scan tool functions.

Q: WILL THE EZ CAUSE ANY DAMAGE TO THE TRANSMISSION?
A: No, however hard driving styles or abuse can cause damage to transmission at stock power levels, and the increase in power could accelerate this.

Q: DOES THE EZ WORK THE SAME ON THE H.O. MOTORS AND A NON-H.O. MOTOR?
A: You will see a slight increase in performance with an H.O. compared to a non-H.O.

Q: WILL THE EZ INCREASE EGT’S?
A: With normal driving you won’t see an increase. While towing you will notice a slight increase in the temperatures.

Q: WILL THE EZ FIT ALL YEARS FROM 98.5-02?
A: No. There are separate modules for ‘98.5-00, ‘01, and ‘02. There is an adapter for the ‘02 allowing a ‘01 to fit, but not for the other years. Be year specific when ordering for your truck.

Q: WILL THE EZ IMPROVE FUEL ECONOMY?
A: Yes. Based on driving style you may see about a 10% increase in fuel efficiency. Fuel efficiency can vary according to your driving style.

Q: HOW DO I GET THE BEST FUEL MILEAGE?
A: Do not change driving habits from normal “good driving mileage” habits. Some find it hard to do with the extra power provided by the EZ.

Q: WHAT DO THE JUMPER SETTINGS DO ON THE EZ?
A: The settings located under the back faceplate on the module itself control the fueling. If you are running larger injectors the first setting is recommended. With medium injectors the middle setting is recommended. The third setting is for stock trucks with stock injectors. These settings also help control your smoke.

  • EZ Jumper setting 1: 33% of additional fuel is added at 0 psi boost

100% is added at 15 psi boost
